I love everything cryptozoological. Creature features and tales of exploration are my bread and butter. Or at least, they are the inspiration for this movie review blog. While film twitter fights over box office flops and rotten tomato scores, I thought I’d create something that discusses content that transcends those pesky little cinema problems. Why don’t I create a website devoted to films that, much like the monsters that star in them, are a little off the beaten path. Perhaps in the middle of the woods in the PNW or beneath the surface of a murky loch.
This is Expedition Movie Review.
This project seeks to review as many movies featuring a cryptid monster as possible. I will publish reviews of creature features and every month I will release a review on a paranormal documentary series. My ultimate goal may seem impossible; to review every single movie ever made that features some sort of cryptozoological creature. But I won’t let logic stand in my way. Much like the adventurers who trek the woods looking for the elusive Bigfoot, I will persevere and fight against the odds. Will I succeed? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I hope this blog provides a much needed gap in cinematic discourse. Now, before watching a Bigfoot movie for free on TUBI, you can read my review to see if it’s worth the stream.
In all seriousness, I hope to provide context, insight, and intellect into each of my movie reviews. No movie is easy to make, and therefore deserves honest yet respectful critiques. I genuinely love these types of movies and I hope some of my reviews will help you love them to.
